Blogging by Demand

Hi there
when I blog I am inundated with fake comments which makes it hard to distinguish real followers from spam, so I have decided only to blog if I get genuine requests. I will blog on any subject if i think it is of interest to a wide audience but i am very busy and need to be sure that blogging serves a useful purpose. So for the time being I will leave blogging to Fred. (Bloggs).

What's in a Logo "The Circle of Life"

Awareness is not a subject that many people of aware of. Rarely do I get asked what my logo represents. To raise awareness I thought I would touch upon just some of the thinking behind the C-options logo. So this is only for those who are interested in greater awareness.

The Circle of Life (C-options Logo)
The TAO: An ancient Chinese symbol used originally to represent a widespread belief in unity, polarity, holism, and magic.

From the day we arrive on the planet

And blinking, step into the sun

There's more to see than can ever be seen

More to do than can ever be done

There's far too much to take in here

More to find than can ever be found

But the sun rolling high

Through the sapphire sky

Keeps great and small on the endless round

It's the Circle of Life

And it moves us all

Through despair and hope

Through faith and love

Till we find our place

On the path unwinding

In the Circle

The Circle of Life

(Words by Elton John)

The C-options logo is yellow and blue symbolic of sun and sea.

It is a circle representing the circle of life

Blue and yellow can also relate to sadness and happiness

Equally balanced they depict life’s propensity to change

The two dots represent eyes the see in c-options

The yellow dot represents the light at the end of the tunnel surrounded by darkness

The blue dot represents the completion of goals a kind of sadness at the end of a successful journey

The outer blue circle represents the search that life is.

The inner lines represent the struggles that we face in lifes quest for happiness

The whispy shapes are based upon ancient eastern symbols that represent healing

The black outer square represents the universe that surrounds and permeates our lives

The two black dots represent that we all hold the universe at our core

They also represent pupils and remind us that we are permanent pupils in the eye of the universe

C-options is about seeing options to do that it is necessary to grow in awareness the more we see the greater our choices

Too many choices and we drown in the sea of confusion so getting the balance right is the key to living a happy and successful life

A coach is a vehicle that carry's many people on an exciting journey towards a predetermined destination.

Life coaches are doing that every day.

Life coaches help passengers in life take the driving seat and steer their lives through the confusion of choice towards the clarity of truth.

My first phone call to WiZ WINGROWER

Well as promised I have had a short interview with Wiz Wingrower not an in depth one as I wanted but he is a private person and any bits he will offer i will take up. This is a transcript of it.

Nigel ; Hi Wiz thank you so much for agreeing to this interview I really appreciate that you are a very private person and that I am very privileged to be able to talk to you in a public arena.

Wiz : Hi Nigel great to hear your voice, it seems a long time since January.

Nigel : Yes I’ve been wanting to contact  you but I respect your wish for seclusion.

Wiz : Yes I have been so lucky to be able to lock myself completely away.

Nigel : So for those people listening who do not know you Wiz is it Ok for me to ask a few questions to allow the listeners to understand who you are and why you have been living in a cave since January?

Wiz : I doubt if anyone is interested in me.

Nigel : Well a few people I know are intrigued by you Wiz. Can I just clarify what is your real name?

Wiz : My full name is Wiz Richard Wingrower but I am not Rich and I’ve usually been described as soft as opposed to hard. So mostly I am known as Wiz Wingrower.

Nigel: So did anyone call you Wiz ard ?

Wiz : Yes at Uni I was known as Wizard but my parents call me Wiz because my father was known as a bit of a wiz kid!

Nigel : I have always been amused that your surname is so appropriate for your academic style. You are a brilliant teacher as I well know but you teach your students to grow their own wings and also their own wins.

Wiz : Yes I have never approved of Guru’s, I feel it is better to teach students to rely upon their own resources rather than follow a leader.

Nigel: So Wiz Can I just clarify why are you using a disguised voice.

Wiz : I have my reasons.

Nigel : I think I understand, is that why you have been cave dwelling?

Wiz ; No I been in total seclusion to deepen my awareness, silence is the best method I know.

Nigel : Why did you choose Papua New Guinea to become a cave dweller Wiz?

Wiz : Because I needed to find somewhere that I could be completely undisturbed for as long as I needed. This Country is 98% owned by Clans and villagers. Fear of spirits keeps all but the fool hardy from exploring the caves forests and mountain tops so it was my perfect place to find my true self.

Nigel : Have you encountered any spirits?

Wiz : You know i no longer touch alcohol!

Nigel : Ok I know when you are being evasive, humour is your shield Wiz.

You taught me so much about psychology I will always be in your debt, have you been continuing your academic study Wiz?

Wiz : No I’ve been emptying my mind, knowledge can be overwhelming.

Nigel : And Has it worked?

Wiz : Well I think I have a better understanding of the infinite.

Nigel : I know when we used to talk you described yourself as intellectually lonely have you been lonely in your cave?

Wiz : No I have managed to feel the oneness that I have been seeking, It has almost felt as if I’ve been watching over you all and been part of your lives despite having no contact.

Nigel: I know if we get talking this is going to get too deep so can I back off a little Wiz and keep it simple today?

Wiz : Simple is where I am at now! i used to be too clever for my own good.

Nigel : I know that by intellectual loneliness you were referring to the scarcity of people who wanted to talk about the many aspects of life that you are so interested in,  has that changed?

Wiz : Yes I no longer feel the need to talk and much prefer to listen

Nigel: But you have so many valuable teachings is that not letting your students down bit?

Wiz : No I am here to learn again, the circle is complete.

Nigel : I was kind of hoping to get you to do a blog now and again for me now that you are back into circulation.

Wiz : I will help you, where I can, but I do not seek publicity as you know.

Nigel : Where are you at this moment.

Wiz : I’m in the mountains near No fia

Nigel :Where is that exactly Wiz

Wiz : I taught you well, but surely you do not expect me to answer that one?

Nigel: This is just a taster interview to see if anyone out there is interested in your message of peace and joy, I realize this is the first conversation with any human since you found your cave just overago  11 months so I’ll close now but there is so much I want to learn about your new found awareness Wiz.

Wiz : Yes my cave beckons. Remain true to yourself my friend, we will talk again soon.

Nigel :Ok :   before you go can I just clarify that it is ok to put this phone call out as a blog?

Wiz ; Yes enjoy the all that is! Find the part of yourself that is within and be at one with it. See you when I next look at you….

Whispers from Wiz

I can’t believe it I just got up to go to the loo and there is a text from Wiz, it is 3.00 am in the morning, I hope he is not  losing his mind! I remember my days as a Police Officer well before it was normal for everyone to be out and about in the early hours, we used to check out anyone that was walking about and at 3.oo am they were usually drunk but at 5.00 am the wandererers were usually crackers.

I know Wiz does not drink but is he going crackers? He’s been in self imposed solitary confinement in a cave for nigh on a year now, can that send a man mad?

His text was to say “if the rabbit won’t speak to you, ask someone else to talk to it for you”

 Hmh it gets more confusing.

I could not resist but to reply and asked Wiz if he was still happy for me to do an interview with him. He replied that he remembers being a man of his word but he has lost his voice.

I joked I am happy for him to whisper and I would call my blog Whispers from Wiz.

He replied that I was always too clever for my own good. I said how will we communicate and he replied ask the crows. Confused I asked what crows and he replied look out of your window. I just did and the hairs on the back of my head are still standing, there are two huge black ugly crows perched on the roof of the house opposite.

If he is in a cave in New Guinea how on earth can he know there are two crows sat on a roof opposite my house in Cleethorpes?

I texted that question and there is no reply, it is now 4.29 so I'm going back to bed. I'm not sure this is working.

Wiz Wingrower is staying in his cave

I was hoping to be able to present an interview with Wiz Wingrower as this blog. Unfortunately he has just told me that he is not about to leave his cave as I anticipated. He intends to see the year out there and re-evaluate in the new year. This left me with a dilemma. Do I wait until he returns to this world or do I press for an interview from him in situe in his cave via the internet? Apparently through his connections with our armed forces he does have the means to send and receive sound and pictures.

But there lies another problem that I failed to foresee. During his year of solitude  in his cave somewhere in New Guinea Wiz has decided to erase his history. He says he will grant me an interview provided that I respect his wish to have no history. It kind of reminded me of a book I once read by Carlos Castanada, but then much of what Wiz says reminds me of books that I have read. Many of them he recommended to me.

I asked why erase your history? He replied that it is our personal histories that people judge us by,  he chooses to be less judged.

I pressed a little further and Wiz explained that because he has a phd and has lectured in psychology, people treated him differently in this world than the people he has met who do not know of his past. He said he has no use for importance any more.

I smiled at this as I remembered when as a professor he was asked to deliver key note speeches to politicians he would arrive by bus with a few tattered notes in an netto plastic shopping bag. I could not help but think he did his best even in those days to not appear important.

I asked what is wrong with importance and he said catch a rabbit and ask it. Then he terminated our call. So sorry folks I am at a bit of a loss right now. Watch this space.

Detox works!

It’s been easier than I anticipated to detox this October. The results speak for themselves. Day 1 blood pressure 139/94 pulse 57 weight 13s11.5 body fat 27% felt blobby.

Today after 24 days of detox with very few cheats. Blood pressure 110/75 pulse 50 weight 13s2.5 bodyfat 22.5. No medication taken just dedication. I think that has the beginings of a new slogan "Dedication and meditation not medication"..................

The only cheats in 24 days have been 7 quality streets as prizes, 4 roast potatoes and a tomato. Despite having been a regular drinker for all my adult life I have been amazed at how easy it has been this year to give up alcohol. Other years I needed to cheat and sneak the odd pint, not this year not a drop!

Have only used weights to tone and done some walking. Although it is fundamentally a 21 day detox I intend to see the month out. Weekends are harder and this October is the only time in 800 years that October has contained 5 weekends so that is tougher than usual. Feel great.

Are You ready to Detox Your life?

I can’t believe it! It’s almost October again or as I call it DETOXober. For the last five years I have used the month of October to detox my body. The first time I tried it I found it quite uncomfortable. Some would say that was because I had 50 odd years worth of toxins to get rid of.

I went into the full detox diet which included no sugar, chocolate, fruit, bread, potatoes, alcohol, cakes, any foods containing gluten, butter, milk, tea other than green or white. I kept it up for the full month and lost ten pounds in weight. My blood pressure returned to that of a 20 years old and my pulse went down really low.

The first week was tough, headaches and pains were unpleasant to say the least. Cravings for booze and chocs were high. Then by week two I started to feel good. After the month I felt so good that I cannot understand how and why I allow myself to go back to my old ways. But I did and have done every year for five years. Each year I detox for October lose 5-10 pounds and then return to normal life.

This year I want to try something different, a life detox. Not only will October mean a dietry detox but also I will detox the 5 most important areas of my life. Relationships, Health, Home, Work,  Money.

I am in the process of setting up a mind map that will help me to take control of the BIG DETOX. Just some ideas in each area are such as :-

Relationships, Remove any areas that plague my relationships by tackling them with good communication.

Health, Stick to the diet and complete a balanced exercise plan which will be recorded in a comprehensive training diary.

Home, Clear my attic using my Chu Cha Che system (Chuck,Charity Cherish)

Work, Commence a huge detox of my computer using the above system

Money, Completely overhaul my accounting systems and remove areas of spending that do not serve me well.

It would be good to have some support and I thought about forming a small group of like minded people who can use the internet to keep each other on track. If you are interested contact me on nigel@c-options.co.uk.

How to Attain Peace By Psychological Anchoring

One of the greatest compliments people I meet often pay me is that they feel a state of peace in my presence. Peace is the in my opinion the ultimate goal in life. You can be a millionaire but without peace of mind their is always something missing.

I have meditated daily for a number of years now and perhaps that has paid dividends. So how can we attain peace by other means? Well in NLP there is a method that is called anchoring which can be used by many people in different ways, but for now lets just apply it to gaining peace at times when our minds are troubled.

If you learn and follow the following exercise regularly you will be amazed at the feeling of being at peace that you can attain.

Find a quiet spot to sit where you will not be disturbed. Sit and breath in whilst saying to yourself "I know I am breathing in and as you breathe out say to yourself " I know I am breathing out." Repeat it four or five times. This will help you to achieve the state of coherance that is optimal for achieving peace.

1.
     Think of a
time when you felt really, really calm -completely at peace and in control.

Take yourself back there now. Seeing what you saw, hearing what you heard and feeling how good you felt.

(If you can't remember a time. Use you imagination to create the feeling of  how wonderful it would to be totally at peace. -if you had all the ease, comfort, and self-control, you could ever need.)

2.     Hold this feeling and repeat it over and over in your mind .As you run  through this experience in your mind make the colors brighter  and richer, the sounds crisper and the feelings stronger.

3.     When you're feeling these good feelings, squeeze the thumb and middle finger of your right hand together. You are now connecting psychologically this particular pressure in this particular place with this particular emotion. Now I want you to run through this memory several times until you feel a lovely sense of inner peace and calm  When you can feel that I just want you to nod your head so that we can confirm that you know that you are there.

4.     Now go through this relaxing memory at least five more times at while continuing to squeeze your thumb and middle finger together. You will know that you've done this enough when all you need to do is to squeeze your thumb like this and you can easily remember the feelings of calm and relaxation spreading through your body.

5.     Now, I would like you to think about a situation that in the past you would have found just alittle  stressful.

6.     Once again, squeeze your thumb and middle finger together. Feel that calm feeling spreading through your body and imagine taking it with you into that stressful situation. Imagine everything going perfectly exactly the way you want . See what  you’ ll  see, hear what you’ll hear and feel how good it feels to be so much calmer and in  control of this situation.

Each and every time you do this exercise . It will become easier and easier to experience feelings of relaxation, just at your fingertips.

Make peace your ultimate goal and everything else will fall into place.

If you prefer to listen to this exerecise rather than read it you can find it free on our coaching site www.c-optionscoaching.co.uk.
